Two Teens Make This Gaming StartUp Radan Games

Radan games is a startup company founded by 2 game loving teens. We were always fascinated by game series like NFS, GTA, AC, CS. It was when GTA 5 trailer was released, we were like amazed by the graphics and decided to make our own games. At that time we didn’t have basic knowledge about any Programming/ 3d Modelling (basically nothing that is related to computer science.

But hey! At least we knew that mitochondria is the power house of cell). Then as days passed, we learned about game development & discussed various game concepts. Finally, we saw that there was a demand for android games, and we were like we have to make a game which is simple to develop (as we’re beginners) and complex enough that the players would keep them engaged in the game. So we went with a train simulation game “TrainZimulator”. The idea was simple, mesh following a path (track). You can check the game at RadanGames.com

But what we wanted is to create a game which is unique, there are many other Train simulation games out there which are based on this principle. So we went with a physics-based model of the game. It is complicated to build and feels more immersive to play. We did also asked some of the players, got some feedback and tweaked & added features based on their requests.

So… some tips to startups like ours

  1. You may have a killer idea to make AAA game, but it’s not that easy to develop especially if you’re a small team.
  2. Before implementing any feature, try thinking of other alternative approaches and chose the one which will be more performance friendly as well as help you add additional features on top the module.
  3. Share your work online and get feedback from various communities. But also make sure that you’re doing an overkill of feature list, Do only what’s worth doing & know your limits.
  4. Some of your friends/relatives may think you’re kind of weird, don’t explain them what’s your plan, rather show them the results.
  5. Never get diverted by the internet!

Our aim is to make more games, attract more youngsters into IT field and establish a reputable name for our company.
