Paytm has launched Expert delivery service in association with The MobileStore. MobileStore, currently, has over 550 outlets across 100 cities in India. This service will ensure delivery within two hours of placing the order. Paytm will be investing over $50 Mn in next six months. ‘Fastest Expert Delivery’ feature is expected to add $617.5 Mn additional in revenue of Paytm.
“We are starting Fastest Expert Delivery (FED) program with MobileStore under which we will get mobile devices delivered to customer through an expert of the product, within two hour of getting the order on our platform,” – Paytm associate vice president Amit Bagaria
Paytm started as mobile and utility recharge portal in 2010 and has expanded itself to a leading digital wallet, leading E-commerce platform and holds RBI license for Payment bank. Paytm claims to have over 100Mn users and more than 80,000 merchants and sellers.
Paytm recently raised funding of $680Mn from Chinese E-commerce leader Alibaba for 20% stake. In February 2015 , Paytm had raised investments from Ant Financial.Alibaba and Singapore-based Temasek Holdings invested more than $500 Mn a month before.
