Education in India has become highly competitive across all streams. To cite examples, less than 1% of the 13 lakh aspirants are able to get through to the IITs. Industry estimates suggest there are 25 lakhs aspirant for SBI PO and over 13 lakh aspirants for IBPS PO exams making these one of the most competitive exams globally.

This drive to compete and excel has led to a growth in a number of supplementary channels of education like coaching classes and e-learning products in India making it an $80 billion industry. Majority of this demand is driven by Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and beyond where there is a large need to access quality education. Yearly, students migrate to larger cities looking for quality education.

BuyTestSeries helps to plug this gap by providing curated coaching class content and e-learning products (like courses & test series) from multiple providers on a single platform. This helps students with the discovery of products. The product reviews and ranking of various classes helps students with the decision making. Finally, the platform supports purchase through payment gateways/wallets. Additionally, to obtain information about coaching classes, students can enquire directly to the coaching class and receive a call back from the coaching class/tuition of their choice. In this way, all players in the education ecosystem are benefitted.

BuyTestSeries has received seed funding from Mumbai Headquartered eClerx Services Limited and Hyderabad based AntHill Ventures. With close to 250 different types of competitive exams and 4000 products listed, is one of the largest aggregators of e-learning products. The platform sees close to 50,000 potential buyers every month with close to 80% of the visitors from Tier 2, 3 cities and beyond. The high number of visitors from these cities is primarily due to huge demand of curated detailed information regarding online tests, courses and coaching classes which is not readily available to match the aspirations for these students.
